Half of the whole

Road to the book.
Half or whole. Two men alone, waiting, or two men together, waiting.
This is the photo chosen to represent the book. Seen in full, it spreads across the whole cover, but even only half-seen, with the book closed, it conveys the atmosphere that struck me in Tsukiji.
Relax. Relief. Exhaustion and recovery. Ending and beginning.
Either side of the image, left or right, leads us into the whole story, offering a key to this suspended world, before the reader has even opened the book.
So I invite you to start here, from the cover, to discover the face of Tokyo Tsukiji, “flying” through the pages of the book.
