I Wanna Be An Influencer

“I Wanna Be An Influencer”, my second book.

The publication is a photographic journey that sketches the new geography of places through the choices of influencers, a social category that has become an undisputed reference in the last decade, to convey any type of product, from clothing to cosmetics, to travel and new destinations to visit.

In particular, my reflection focuses on one of the aspects characterizing tourism at the time of Instagram: destinations that are already famous or completely unknown become popular destinations, inducing a mass of aspiring influencers to adopt the same attitudes and behaviors. A real community that aims at the immediate sharing of experiences in old and new ‘elsewhere’, of places whose meaning has changed.

Tokyo Tsukiji

“Tokyo Tsukiji” is my first publication.

The book is the result of two years of research and further studies focusing on the interior of Tsukiji (jonai shija), the very beating heart of the market, at the moment in which it is emptying. The fishmongers are caught in the moment of exhaustion, both physical and mental, after over ten hours of work in strenuous conditions among specialist machinery, deafening background noise, customers and workers, who in these pictures gradually disappear.

In the photographs, I identify eight different frames in the working day of the market, and these form the chapters of the book: from cleaning up to cashing up, from breaks to portraits.
